Deficit Hawkery as a Farce

Excellent editorial on the hypocrisy that is the Republicans and their efforts to reduce billions out of our deficit. In a nutshell if we want to reduce the deficit we need to cut the budget and raise taxes. Over the course of many years, federal taxes have consistently brought in less money than what was spent. This will continue unless we have significant budget cuts, reform the tax code and increase taxes. This increase does not have to be significant either.
